Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Maintenance Planner within the Maintenance Department.

This critical role is responsible for organizing and coordinating all maintenance activities, both planned and unplanned, for the drill rig to ensure equipment availability and to minimize downtime.

The base is in, Al Joshwan mountain range at a comfortable 1,750m above sea level, this position is open to people ready for adventure who thrive in driving high performance in themselves and their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for Drill Rig equipment's.
• Plan and coordinate corrective maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and shutdown maintenance plans in collaboration with supervisors and production teams.
• Generate and prioritize work orders in the CMMS.
• Coordinate with stores for spare parts and materials availability before job execution.
• Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations, statutory requirements, and site standards in all maintenance plans.
• Review equipment performance history to identify recurring failures and recommend improvements.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, PM compliance) and recommend action plans for improvement
• Supports the development and training of local nationals by providing mentorship, guidance, and coaching, leading to their growth and development.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or Technical Diploma with equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years experience as Drill Rig Maintenance Planner in Mining environment.
• Proficient in CMMS software.
• Knowledge of spare parts planning and maintenance KPIs
• Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
